The WUD-DOT liquidity pool operates on the constant product formula: x * y = k

  • x = Amount of WUD in the pool (Currently ...)
  • y = Amount of DOT in the pool (Currently ...)
  • k = Constant product that must remain invariant after trades

When you execute a BUY order:

  1. DOT is added to the pool: newDOT = poolDOT + inputDOT
  2. WUD is recalculated to maintain k: newWUD = k / newDOT
  3. You receive the difference: receivedWUD = poolWUD - newWUD
